A Nationally Certified Teacher of Music, Christie Pollard is a “precise, yet sensitive” (Big Time Culture in a Little City) piano performer, experienced accompanist and piano teacher located in Waco, Texas. She is currently studying at Baylor University for a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy and Performance, where she received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance in 2023.
At Baylor, Christie teaches private piano lessons and class piano to non-music majors, as well as the piano lab program under the direction of Dr. Lesley McAllister and accompanies vocalists and instrumentalists each semester under Dr. Kae Hosoda-Ayer. She is employed as part of the worship band and accompanist for adult, youth, children, and handbell choirs at First Baptist Church in Hamilton, Texas, where she additionally teaches private piano lessons to students of many ages.
Pollard has experience judging all-star piano students, presenting and performing in ensembles and competitions at Texas Music Teachers Association, teaching piano to students of all ages in private and group class instruction settings, and performing in solo and chamber performances in the Waco, Austin, and La Grange, Texas areas, respectively. She is a member of Music Teachers National Association, Texas Music Teachers Association, and the Baylor University chapter of Music Teachers National Association.
